Debbie Gary
The Pros Band features vocalist Debbie Gary who has been performing for over 20 years. Debbie has been with the Pros Band for over a decade, and has graciously enjoyed wide acclaim from the audiences.
The Pros Dance Band had it’s beginnings in the mid 1960’s through the interest and love of music of eight doctors. Rehearsals were held at Harper Grace Hospital, moving later to Oak Park High School and the Berkley Community Center. The band currently rehearses at the Woodland Church in Royal Oak.
The band has played for fundraisers, wedding receptions, concerts, a variety of private and public country clubs, and for company functions in and around the Detroit metropolitan area.
The current (16) piece band performs music from the big band era greats including Harry James, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and many others. The band performs a wide variety of traditional ballads, swing music, big band rock arrangements and current favorites as well. Band members have a unique mixture of musical backgrounds with a number of the members playing in area concert bands, bass choirs, and instrumental groups.
